On Thursday 9 April 2026, at 14:04, Université Paris-Saclay will have the opportunity to establish a radio link with Sophie Adenot, the French astronaut currently on board the International Space Station (ISS), 400 kilometres above Earth.

Université Paris-Saclay will organise a live radio contact with French astronaut Sophie Adenot, currently on board the International Space Station (ISS), on Thursday 9 April at 14:04.

This radio contact will last approximately ten minutes and will take place as the ISS passes over French territory. During the exchange, students from the university as well as pupils from Collège Albert Camus in La Norville (Essonne) will ask their questions to Sophie Adenot. These pupils have been preparing for several weeks as part of their school’s “space classes”.

The radio link will be the highlight of a half-day dedicated to astronomy and space exploration, featuring mini-lectures and engaging scientific demonstrations designed to introduce different aspects of space science.

The event will be streamed live on the Université Paris-Saclay YouTube channel, as well as on several campus websites. The recording and live broadcast will be handled by students from the Professional Bachelor’s degree in Sound and Image Techniques at the IUT of Cachan.
